The Claremont Hotel on Eastbourne seafront went up in flames as guests were eating breakfast in November.
Days later parts of the building crumbled, and in December there was a second collapse.
In a statement, the Eastbourne Borough Council said: “Our team continue to work closely with hotel representatives and their demolition contractor to ensure the safest procedure for dealing with the remainder of the building.”
