A FAMILY man was found hanged outside his home, an inquest heard.
Friends had grown worried about Lawrence Selby.
The 56-year-old builder had not been seen, which was out of character.
At Brighton Coroner’s Court an inquest was opened into his death last month.
Coroner’s officer Arianna Palermo said Mr Selby was found outside his home in College Terrace, Brighton. She said: “Friends attended his address when they had not heard from him for about a week. This was out of character.”
But after knocking on the door, the friend found Mr Selby hanged nearby.
He is survived by his two daughters, son, brother, half sister, nieces and nephews.
Coroner Veronica Hamilton-Deeley said information will be needed from his GP and to see if there was any support in place from the Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.
His full inquest will be held on May 18.
