A WOMAN standing on a cliff-top was talked down by a negotiator.
Police were called to the top of the cliffs overlooking Brighton Marina yesterday evening after callers expressed concerns for the welfare of a woman.
After initial negotiations, crews from Newhaven Coastguard and Shoreham Coastguard were called to assist with the incident.
After almost two hours, the woman was brought to safety. A Sussex Police spokesman said: βAt 6.26pm on Wednesday, police were called following concerns for a woman on the cliffs overlooking Brighton Marina. Officers attended the scene and a specialist negotiator engaged with the woman, who was eventually brought to safety.β
