A 15-YEAR-OLD has won an award for an emotive speech on knife crime she delivered in Parliament.
Lylian Nunoo from Eastbourne has won the Paul Boskett Award from the British Youth Council after she spoke at the House of Commons in a Youth Parliament debate.
“You can wash away blood but you cannot wash away the effects of knife crime,” the Member of Youth Parliament had told the chamber.
“So many children have died. How many more need to die for us to wake up and realise that is not OK?”
Support and youth workers across the country voted for Lylian.
