Painting Workshop

IF YOU are looking for something for the kids to do this half term, Phoenix Brighton learning programme alongside artists from Hard Painting have organised an art workshop to celebrate the Brighton science festival.
The exhibition will explore the science behind paint, the children will learn how to grind pigments, add binders to make their own paint and then to produce a piece of artwork of their own.
The afternoon will be a fun and educational time for the whole family. This event is free for members of the public.

CELEBRATE love in true disco style with a fun, funky and family friendly kids Valentine’s Disco Party.
Bringing all the magic of Valentine’s to you in this daytime event aimed for families and youngsters aged fromthree to ten years old.
Some of the activates include a mum and dad dance off, balloon models for every child, costume competition, dance routines and party games. End the night with a family slow dance and a confetti finale. This will be a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a whole family. Tickets for the disco party are £8 per child.

A FUNFAIR for the family with each activity having a little science snuck in.
Attractions like the incredible machine will be there along with splat the rat, guess the weight of the cake, and the amazing shrinking box.
It was created by BBC Rough Science’s Jonathan Hare and science showman Richard Robinson who is the director for the Brighton Science Festival.
This will be a fun and educational event with lots of amazing science facts for children and adults.
You can get a family ticket for this fair for a bargain £14.

Fun with clay, Make at the Museum, 10am
Hove Museum Art gallery
LET your imagination and creative side run wild with this creative event that will be held at the art gallery.
Taking inspiration from cultural icons, you and your family will learn some great skills while enjoying the experience of working with clay.
The programme will be led by a local potter. You will be able to make and take home a fired or unfired piece of clay work.
Children have to be at least seven to participate and tickets are £10 per child and £5 for clay firing.
