A BAT box was rescued from a fallen tree.
East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) rescuers were called to the oak tree in Hailsham on Friday.
Founder Trevor Weeks climbed up the tree to remove the box. He found it was empty and no bats had been harmed.
Trevor said: “It was not an easy box to reach. We decided to cut the box from the trunk of the tree and lower it to the ground.
“We were really pleased there was nothing in the box. That was certainly one of the more unusual call-outs we have had in quite a while.”
