Residents across the borough were trapped inside their homes this weekend as they felt the full force of Storm Dennis hit the streets of Basingstoke.

Early predictions from the Met Office told the public it would be a few showers but no where near as bad as Storm Ciara.

Since then, more than 600 flood warnings have been issued across the country, the highest number recorded in one day to date.

The Gazette Camera Club members were on hand to capture the shocking scenes as cars were left stranded in water, fallen trees blocked vital the roads and power cuts deprived homes throughout the town.
