EMERGENCY services were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the Holmbush roundabout in Shoreham at 9.26am this morning.
Pictures from the scene show the police speaking to motorists and keeping the scene clear.
It is understood that a pedestrian was hit in a crash opposite the Royal George pub.
Police said: "The pedestrian – a local woman – was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"A section of the road was temporarily closed but has since reopened."

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
