A YOUNG girl was heard screaming at a playground before a struggle with a man.
A concerned witness contacted police after the incident in Foxes Croft, Barnham, on Sunday night.
The girl, believed to be about 14, was at the playground with three boys of a similar age shortly after 9pm when shocked onlookers saw her begin to shout down her phone.
A man and a woman then pulled up in a van and the girl was seen to engage in a struggle with the man.
Police say “all parties left in the same vehicle” which is thought to be a long wheel base van.
The force now wants to speak to all people involved in the incident “to establish the full circumstances of the matter”.
The girl is 5ft 5in tall and of slim build, with long black hair. The man and woman are described as being in their late 20s. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 1526 of 16/02.
