A ROBBER who raided an amusement arcade while armed with a knife has been jailed.

James Creaghan admitted the robbery at Connaught Leisure in George Street, Hove.

He raided the business, and fled from the property towards Church Road.

It was reported that 24-year-old Creaghan then tried to board a bus that was surrounded by armed police.

The incident happened on January 14, and it was revealed that Karl Corbit was working inside the amusement arcade at the time.

At Hove Crown Court he admitted robbery and possession of a bladed article.

Creaghan, of The Drive, Hove, was jailed for three years and four months.
