COMMUTERS face lengthy journeys after landslides left tracks blocked in two locations.
Southern Rail and Network Rail engineers are working to cope with the blockages affecting Horsham and East Grinstead.
Passengers have been told one line will be closed until at least Thursday while repairs are made.
It follows the high winds and torrential downpours brought to Sussex by Storm Dennis.
Southern says replacement buses are in operation at East Grinstead after a landslip there.
In information to passengers the company said: "A landslip at East Grinstead means trains are unable to run to or from this station until further notice.
"Your journey will take longer than usual, as you'll need to use a replacement bus or an alternative rail route.
"There is currently no firm estimate of how long this disruption will last. We'll provide you with more information once we have it."
Meanwhile commuters in Horsham have been told of landslip at Holmwood station in Surrey which is affecting services until Thursday.
Network rail said the line is closed between Horsham and Dorking while an area is cleared up.
Information on replacement bus services and alternatives are available on southernrailway.com.
