BRONWEN MCKENZIE
Aged 47, of Wiston Road, Brighton, admitted failing to attend appointments following her release from prison. Sent to prison for ten days.
NIGEL HOLLAND
Aged 50, of Regency Square, Brighton, admitted assaulting a man, using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause fear of violence, and committing an offence while on a suspended sentence. To complete 80 hours of unpaid work, with £90 compensation.
LESLEY DOYLE
Aged 38, of North Road, Brighton, admitted assaulting a man, assaulting a police officer, using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause fear of violence, being drunk and disorderly, throwing a hairbrush as a missile, and stealing two bottles of beer from Sainsbury’s. Ordered to complete six months of drug dependency treatment, with a £100 fine and £50 compensation.
DENIS MARTIN
Aged 43, of Kendal Court, Newhaven, admitted racist harassment at McDonald’s in Brighton. Put under curfew for six weeks between 8pm and 6am daily, with a £90 surcharge and £85 costs.
SHOUIDUR RAHMAN
Aged 32, of Portland Road, Hove, found guilty of assaulting a woman. Ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, with £200 compensation, a £90 surcharge and £625 costs. Put under restraining order until January 2022.
JIMMY UNDERWOOD
Aged 37, of Clifton Terrace, Brighton, admitted criminal damage at Frank and Barber, Hove, and found guilty of racist harassment, and using threatening or abusive behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence. Given a 12-week suspended prison sentence. Fined £624, with £300 compensation, a £122 surcharge.
JAMIE FUNNELL
Aged 40, of Egremont Place, admitted stealing a television and clothing and committing an offence after a conditional discharge. Ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and six months of drug dependency treatment. Fined £60, with a £90 surcharge and £329 compensation.
LIAM CARROLL
Aged 23, of Evelyn Avenue, Newhaven, admitted failing to attend unpaid work. Ordered to complete eight extra rehabilitation sessions.
HARRY FORDHAM
Aged 35, of Hangleton Road, Hove, admitted speeding in a Fiat on the A270. Fined £233, with a £30 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.
JASMINE WICKS-STEPHENS
Aged 34, of Florence Road, admitted keeping an untaxed Mini. Fined £307, to pay back £17.50 in back duty, with £85 costs.
GARRY WALKER
Aged 40, of Bellingham Crescent, Hove, admitted speeding in a Scania lorry on the A270 Lewes Road. Fined £70, with a £30 surcharge. Three points added to his licence.
CASEY HEWLETT
Aged 24, of Warren Way, Telscombe Cliffs, admitted speeding in a Kia on the A23. Fined £323, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Three points added to his licence.
NICOLA EDLAND
Aged 54, of Kingsway, Hove, admitted drink-driving in a Mini. Tested positive for 102 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg per 100ml. Fined £120, with a £32 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
JOANNNA FORSDYKE
Aged 27, of Lennox Street, Brighton, admitted assaulting a man. Given a conditional discharge, with a £21 surcharge.
