THE driver of a 44 tonne truck was arrested after testing positive for cocaine and cannabis.

Sussex Roads Police pulled over the lorry on the A23 before making the shocking discovery. To compile the driver’s misery, the truck was also found to have several things wrong with it during an inspection.

Sharing a picture of the offending vehicle on Twitter, a Sussex Roads Police spokesman said: “We’ve just arrested the driver of this 44 tonne truck on the A23 after he failed a roadside drug test for cocaine and cannabis.

"To add to his woes, the vehicle is also 20 per cent overweight and has a flat tyre.”
