A DRINK-DRIVER was stopped while nearly four times the legal alcohol limit.
Patrick Walker was pulled over by police in a Peugeot 206 estate car on the A27 at Patcham, Brighton.
The 47-year-old tested positive for 130 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath.
The legal limit is 35mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
Walker appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court last week, where Martina Sherlock, prosecuting, said he was stopped on February 5.
He also admitted driving without valid insurance.
Magistrate Robert MacRowan sentenced Walker, of Newick Road, Moulsecoomb, to a 12-week suspended prison sentence.
Walker must complete ten rehabilitation sessions and pay a £122 surcharge and £85 costs.
He was banned from driving for two and a half years.
