A HOLOGRAPHIC Liam Neeson will be starring in a classic story about aliens.

Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War Of The Worlds is coming to the Brighton Centre on April 5.

The show will feature a 3D holographic appearance from the A-lister, a 35ft tall “Martian fighting machine” firing real flames at the audience, lighting, pyrotechnics and a “ground-breaking” levitation effect.

Jeff Wayne said: “For over four decades now I’ve lived out a dream of bringing the true story of HG Wells dark Victorian tale to listeners and audiences from around the world, while pushing technology to the limit both sonically and visually as time has moved on.”

There will one performance at 3pm and another at 8pm.

Tickets are on sale from Friday, March 6 ,at 9am.

The full cast is yet to be announced.

The musical sci-fi classic has won two Ivor Novello Awards, the US Best Recording in Science Fiction and Fantasy and a Classic Rock’s Showman Of The Year Award.
