MORE than 100 runners braved the wind and rain to raise £40,000 for a children’s hospice.
Runners representing Chestnut Tree House in Worthing took part in the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday.
The fastest was Steve Bird from Burgess Hill who completed the race in one hour, 28 minutes and 49 seconds.
Meanwhile 33-year-old Andrew Spencer ran in full cricket gear, taking a little more than two hours.
