SIXTH formers have organised an evening of talks by inspirational women.

Mid Sussex MP Mims Davies is one of the speakers at the 2020 Tomorrow’s Women conference organised by students at Burgess Hill Girls.

The event features women from varied fields of work and is intended to inspire the next generation.

Pupils have been involved in every aspect, from selecting the speakers to marketing the event.

Student Leisha Limbachia said: “Organising the Tomorrow’s Women Conference has taught me vital communication and networking skills which I can use in the future. It’s also been a lot of fun.”

Paralympic gold medallist Danielle Brown will also give a talk, as well as deputy chief constable of Sussex Police Jo Shiner, Barclays Eagle Labs ecosystem manager Naomi Muston and Clare Griffiths, founder of the Thrive Effect, a business support organisation in Sussex.

The event is at Burgess Hill Girls school from 4.30pm until 7pm on Friday and free tickets are available for all school pupils in Sussex. Find out more and register for a ticket at burgesshillgirls.com.
