A 65-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a car crash.

His car was involved in a head-on collision in Hastings just before 7pm on Friday and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His rear seat passenger, a 65-year-old woman, is being treated for life-threatening injuries at King’s College Hospital in London. The front seat passenger, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Conquest Hospital in St Leonards with minor injuries.

The family were visiting Hastings from Gloucestershire. Their Citroen and an Audi crashed in Fairlight Road, close to the junction with Coastguard Lane.

Shortly beforehand, the Audi driver was involved in a minor collision with another car in the same road. The 38-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and those with dash cam footage.
