A DOG-OWNER has come forward after a woman was attacked by an animal.

Police released an appeal for the owner earlier this week after the incident in the Carina Avenue area of Angmering on March 2.

A woman had been walking her dog when a Boxer type dog bounded towards her and attacked her pet. In the fracas, the dog knocked her over leaving her with serious injuries to her elbow. She later needed surgery to treat her wounds.

PC Matt Fisher said: “The owner of the dog contacted us after seeing our appeal. He has agreed to a community resolution order which stipulates that his dog must be kept on a lead at all times while in a public area.”
