MAGISTRATES jailed a man who outraged public decency when he was seen performing a sex act at a shopping centre.

Bogdan Marian Stelea, 34, was found guilty of the offence in Churchill Square in Brighton.

The Romanian national had been due to stand trial after denying the charge.

But he was convicted in his absence at Brighton Magistrates’ Court last month.

Stelea, of Montpelier Place, Brighton, was jailed for 14 days and ordered to pay a £122 surcharge.
