POLICE have stepped up their search for a stalker who has been reported by three women.

All three incidents happened in the Crawley area.

The most recent, on March 6, involved the man being seen seemingly taking photos of an unknowing woman on his phone as she spent time at her home.

She spotted him through a window in her house, which backs on to open land adjoining Tilgate Forest Golf Course.

Months before, on November 30, he had approached a woman in Crawley town centre the ncontinued to follow her.

The next day, he again approached her in Ashgate Drive then spoke to her until she ran away.

The man is white, in his 50s and about 5ft 10in tall.

He is of medium build and bald, except for bands of short white hair on the sides of his head.

As Sussex Police efforts to find the individual escalate, they have released an e-fit image of the man which they hope will lead to him being found.

PC Sam Bate said; “He also has a very noticeable skin complaint across his cheeks and nose, suggestive of the condition ‘rosacea’.

“His motives are not completely clear but he is causing the victim increasing concern and distress and we need to find him and put a stop to his unpleasant activities as soon as possible.
