A MUCH-LOVED farm park in Andover closed its doors this week.

Finkley Down Farm, on North Way, announced on Wednesday evening it was shut “until further notice”.

They said that it was for the health and safety of everyone following the government’s announcement earlier this week of increased social distancing, adding they will be “back stronger”.

The statement, released on Wednesday, read: “With the health and safety of customers, staff, friends, neighbours and family our top priority, following Government advice of social distancing, it is with very heavy hearts that we are closing the Farm from today, 6pm until further notice.

“We’ll be back stronger hopefully in the not too distance future.

“We will continue to post updates about the farm here and on social media.”

The farm added that all current bookings, including those with their Mother’s Day offers, will be extended for 12 months.

They have also announced they will be contacted those book for parties, adding: “We are very sorry, this is totally out of our control.”

The amount of time they are closed will be added to annual and monthly pass holders, adding: “Whilst the farm is closed we will have no income, the payments will help look after the animals and help secure a future for the farm.”
