CHILDREN at a school which serves a "richly vibrant multicultural community" recognise their similarities and celebrate their differences, said school inspectors which found Clarendon Primary School continues to be a good school.

Ofsted described the school in Great Lever as a "friendly and welcoming school" where pupils are happy and proud to attend.

Inspectors commented: "Leaders have high expectations for what pupils can achieve, academically and personally.

"Pupils are proud of their school. They achieve well and grow in confidence."

They added: "Pupils behave well and show genuine care for each other."

Children were said to achieve well because of a curriculum which "inspires and motivates" them. And pupils’ mental health is a priority.

Ofsted inspectors said: " One of the mental health ambassadors told me that every class has a ‘worry monster’, who eats all of the pupils’

worries."
