ALBION have closed their store at a shopping centre early to ‘focus priorities on the club’s online retail shop’.
The pop-up shop in the Churchill Square shopping centre opened in October last year.
It immediately proved popular with shoppers as they descended on the store to scoop up Christmas gifts for their fellow Albion fans.
Fans Amy Baker, 29, and Richard Hanekom, 24, were some of the first to visit the shop.
Richard said he thought it was “really good publicity for the club to have a store in the city centre”.
But the club has announced today that the store will shut on Sunday, a week ahead of its planned closure
A spokesman said: “The club has taken the decision in order to allow staff to focus priorities on the club’s online retail shop, with the club offering free postage and packing on all global purchases.”
He added that the Albion store at the Amex has been closed since last Saturday.
