A DJ has decided to close his cafe completely to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
Fatboy Slim, also known as Norman Cook, said he had made the decision today to entirely close the Big Beach Cafe at Hove Lagoon, which had been operating as a takeaway.
The DJ said: "We did a straw poll on social media last week about whether we should remain open as a takeaway or close, and everyone was keen for us to do takeaway coffees and ice creams.
"But yesterday we were a little worried as there were so many people out.

"It was like a bank holiday.
"We've just made the decision that it is irresponsible to be doing it.
"It's a real shame.
"We thought we could stay open within the parameters of social distancing but we can't."
The Government issued official guidance last week on social distancing to reduce the transmission of coronavirus.
Measures include avoiding large and small gatherings in all public spaces, as the infection can spread easily when people are close to each other.
