LIVING on one of the estates in north Brighton, London Road always used to be my main shopping street.

Now it is becoming a wasteland with bank branch closures, the former big Co-op now student accommodation and now Boots the chemist is due to be pulled down.

Over the years other big retail outlets have closed too.

So what is the city council’s plan to rejuvenate this main shopping street or are they just burying their heads again?

It is also the main route north out of the city so what must visitors think?

This also happens to be in the Pavilion ward so what has our local MP got to say?
