AN ELDERLY woman has died after being involved in an eight-car collision.
The crash happened on the A29 Shripney Road in Bognor shortly after 12.30pm on February 28.
Emergency services attended the scene and the 76-year-old from Bognor was taken to hospital along with two others.
All three reported minor injuries and were released later that day.
But the woman, who had been the passenger in a Mercedes A Class, was re-admitted to hospital on March 3 with head and neck pain. She died on March 8 as a result of injuries she sustained in the collision.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened – or anyone with dash cam or CCTV – to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Highgate.”
