Several key volunteers will be using their once a day exercise to continue to look after Allington Hill, Cooper's Wood and Field for the benefit of not only the wildlife, but to allow the local community to safely use the area.
A spokesman said: "All the dog waste bins are emptied by volunteers. We still want you to pick up, but is it really fair to ask them to empty them as part of their daily exercise? Please take your poo bag/ litter home with you or put in the bins near the exit gates in Hospital Lane.
"Please also ensure you keep your dogs under strict control, this area is for all in the local community not just dog walkers.
"Please respect the area, take only photos, leave only footprints, pick up after your dog, allow children to play safe and respect each other's space."
