THREE more people in Brighton and Hove have tested positive for coronavirus.

There have now been 33 cases overall in the city.

This comes as the national figure climbed by more than 2,885, reaching 14,543.

Of those patients who have been taken to hospital after contracting coronavirus, 759 have died, according to Public Health England figures.

The total number of people diagnosed with the virus also rose elsewhere in Sussex.

The number of cases in East Sussex climbed from 26 to 39, while West Sussex's total leapt from 69 to 86.

This brings the overall Sussex figure to 158, up from 125.

The coronavirus Sussex Crisis Fund has been set up to help those affected by the pandemic.
