ORGANISERS say a music festival is the latest event that will have to be cancelled because of coronavirus.

Petworth Festival was set to take place between July 14 and August 1 in Sussex.

But the event has been cancelled.

Now organisers hope instead to add a week of musical performance to the planned Literary Festival this autumn.

Festival chairman Neil Franks said: “We have already been overwhelmed by the support we have received. but the Festival will still need all the help we can get to overcome the challenges we face.”

He appealed for any donations to help allow concerts to be held in October. Visit petworthfestival.org.uk.
