THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sussex climbed from 293 to 317 overnight.
But Public Health England only recored one further patient to be diagnosed with the illness in Brighton and Hove, taking the city's figure to 50.
The East Sussex total rose from 84 to 95, while the West Sussex figure climbed from 160 to 172.

This followed a national increase of 4,244 cases in the 24 hours leading up to 9am yesterday.
There have now been 33,718 coronavirus patients in the UK.
A further 569 people died in this period, taking the death toll to 2,921.
