A WANTED couple who robbed a disabled man have now been arrested.
Kirsty Norris, 32, befriended a disabled man in his home, then invited pal David Mercer, 25, to pretend to be a council contractor.
Mercer barged his way in, and the couple stole from the victim who was left “betrayed and traumatised”.
The duo, of Queensway, Brighton, were originally sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence after being found guilty of robbery and five counts of fraud.
But the Solicitor General thought the punishment was too lenient and referred the case to the Court of Appeal.
Judges then imposed a new sentence of three years in prison for the “vicious” couple.
They were supposed to hand themselves in by 6pm on March 12, but failed to do so, sparking a police appeal to track them down.
Police said Norris and Mercer were in Crawley, and they were arrested there on Tuesday, March 31.
Now they will begin their spell behind bars for the offences.
