CASH was stolen from a seafront business during a late night raid.

Police were called to JB’s Diner in Kings Road, Brighton after a report of a break-in at 2am on Monday.

Officers checked CCTV and did forensic tests, and said £150 was stolen from the premises.

It comes amid concerns from police that businesses which are closed will need to be vigilant about keeping premises secure during the coronavirus crisis.

The American 1950s style diner has been closed in recent weeks.

A 33-year-old man was held on suspicion of burglary and released under investigation.
