POLICE want to track down a man for breaching the terms of his prison release.

Andrew Charles was jailed for four months after he was found in possession of stolen goods in Brighton.

Previously, it was revealed the 52-year-old had been found by police driving a car that was stolen.

He claimed that he had been sold the vehicle by a friend at the pub.

But at Brighton Magistrates' Court District Judge Tessa Szagun said: "That sounds pretty dodgy to me."

Charles had failed to turn up to court, and claimed to have been the victim of a grievous attack that left him in hospital in London.

Now he is wanted for breaching the terms of his release from prison.

He is black, 5ft 9ins tall, and his last known address was in Hove.

Charles could be in Brighton, or may be in the Essex area, police say.

Anyone who has seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to contact the police by calling 101, or online quoting Sussex serial 38 of 22/02.
