AN ISOLATION snap of The Duchess of Cornwall working from home suggests she is a fan of Peter James’s crime novels.

Camilla Parker Bowles has been in self-isolation for two weeks in Scotland following Prince Charles’s diagnosis with coronavirus.

The royal couple were reunited on Monday after having stayed apart in separate wings of the house in Birkhall, Aberdeenshire.

A photograph of Camilla working from home shows several of Peter James’s thrillers on her bookshelf.

The prolific crime writer, who lives near Henfield, has met Camilla several times.

Later this year, Peter – who was born in Hove and grew up in Withdean Road, Brighton – is set to see his best-selling series about Brighton detective Roy Grace become a TV series.

John Simm will take the starring role in the series due to appear on ITV in the autumn.

Peter has said his interest in detectives stems from the time his house was burgled in the 1980s.

He and a police officer got talking and Peter realised that “from a writer’s perspective, no one sees more of human life than the police.”
