THERE was a quick emergency services response after a person was seen entering the ocean late last night.
They were spotted going into the water on Brighton beach shortly after 9.30pm.
Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) and Newhaven Coastguard crews were called to the scene.
A coastguard spokesman said: “We were tasked to Brighton with Sussex Police, Brighton Lifeboat and SECAMB to a report of a person entering the water.
“The person was being taken into the care of SECAMB as we arrived.”
