A BAKERY famed for its hot cross buns had a lengthy queue stretching from its door as hungry punters waited for Easter treats.

Each year on Good Friday staff at Raven's Bakery in Ditchling Road, Brighton, see customers form an orderly line to be in with a chance of sampling its delicious delicacies.

But this time around one passerby joked that the queues were "even longer" than previous years as those waiting left a precautionary three metres between themselves, adhering to Government social distancing rules to stop the spread of coronavirus.

These ask people to leave at least two metres between themselves and others not from their household when they leave the house.

The spaced out shoppers, some wearing face masks, stretched along the street on Friday, eager for the chance to snap up some of the bakery's ever-popular buns.
