This annual shopping experience takes place in the historic surroundings of Michelham Priory.

The building dates back to 1229, when it was founded by Augustinian canons. The Elizabethan Great Barn will be filled with stalls of the East Sussex Guild of Craft Workers, offering an array of craft items.

The ground floor of the main house will be also be filled with stalls and on the East and West Lawns, located between the two buildings, there will be several large, chandelier-lit marquees.

Organisers expect more than 100 traders on display, offering everything from engraved glass and hand-made chocolates to textiles and jewellery, as well as gifts and gadgets of all kinds.

One new addition to the fair will be a medieval traders' row, bringing the feel of an old-world Christmas back to the priory. Shoppers can also take a stroll around the beautiful gardens or pop into the fully-licensed restaurant for festive fare.

There will be seasonal music in the courtyard and Santa Claus will be in his grotto with presents for boys and girls (£1 extra).

Overflow parking will be available at Arlington Stadium (Arlington Road, just off the A22 near Hailsham, about one mile east of the priory) from 10am on both days.

There will be a small charge of £1 per car at the stadium, with a free shuttle bus service to the priory.
