I read with interest the article in The Argus yesterday about the new species of dinosaur found in the Natural History Museum. In the summer I spent a wonderful weekend camping on the Isle of Wight with my four-year-old nephew who is obsessed with all things dinosaur.
The chalk cliffs on the Isle of Wight are a mecca for dinosaur fossil hunters and there are a number of museums and organised trips in the area.
We went out on an organised tour which guaranteed us to find some fossils, and we did!
Sussex is on the same chalk ground as the Isle of Wight. Are there dinosaur fossils in the chalk cliffs of Sussex? Are there any dinosaur hunters out there who have found fossils? I would be interested to know.
