EMERGENCY services were called to reports of a man having “fallen from height” at a car park.
Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the High and Over car park in Alfriston yesterday afternoon and a man was rescued.
The man, who was in his 70s, had slipped off a path and fallen on to a steep slope.
Sussex Police attended and handed the man over into the care of the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
A force spokesman said: "Police officers assisted two members of the public who helped a man in his 70s who had slipped off a path on to a steep slope at the Alfriston Road car park at High and Over, near Seaford, just after 1.30pm yesterday.
"He was handed over to paramedics for treatment."
Fire crews from Seaford, Battle and Bexhill attended but were stood down on arrival.
A SECAmb spokesman said: "Ambulance crews attended the scene and a man, who had reportedly fallen down a slope, was assessed and treated before being taken to Conquest Hospital in St Leonards for further treatment."
