A TEAM of emergency services worked together to rescue a person who had “fallen from height” at a set of cliffs.
The coastguard helicopter and ambulance crews teamed up with fire crews to bring the person to safety near Hastings yesterday afternoon.
The casualty was rescued by the helicopter which airlifted them back on to the cliff top, while accompanying coastguard crews were recovered using a rope rescue system.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 3.53pm to attend Fairlight Road in Hastings following reports of a person fallen from height. Crews from The Ridge, Battle and Bexhill attended. Our Rope Rescue Team assisted with the recovery of the HART and Coastguard personnel.
“The casualty was airlifted by coastguard helicopter.”
