FOUR people may hold vital clues about the disappearance of a teenager.

Owen Harding was reported missing from his home in Saltdean on March 26.

Police have released CCTV images of three people they want to find as part of their inquiry.

They may have seen Owen or been in the area where the 16-year-old was last seen.

It follows an appeal by his mum Stella, who described her "excruciating uncertainty".

She said: “”My emotional state has deteriorated over the last few weeks, as has Meg’s, as has our close friends and family. while we’re just stuck in this excruciating uncertainty of not knowing what has happened to Owen.

“It is very unlike Owen to go missing and to not be in contact with friends, family or his girlfriend.

The Argus:

“Clearly, it is a really difficult time at the moment and we’re all desperately worried, especially since this is so out of character.

“We need to be open to investigating all avenues at this critical time, when the clock is ticking and Owen still hasn’t been found.”

New footage comes from Brighton and Hove buses.

The Argus:

The force said a woman got off a bus at the top of Telscombe Tye and walked down the sea side pavement at 6.15-6.17pm.

The pedestrian was at the junction of Bannings Vale and the A259 at 6.17pm and the two cyclists were both travelling east between 6.17 and 6.18pm.

Detective Inspector Mark Rosser said: “This is probably the last line of enquiry that we have in our investigation. Our searches have extended along the coastline as far east as Dungeness in Kent and following the advice of an oceanographer from the University of Southampton, we have also alerted colleagues across the Channel.

The Argus:

“Do you recognise yourself in the pictures? If so, we would really appreciate it if you could make contact with us as you may hold vital information that would help us bring answers to Owen's family.

“It’s been nearly a month since Owen was last seen or heard from and I would like to thank the public for their support in our investigation."

Owen is white, 5' 11" - 6', of athletic build, with short brown hair. He is believed to have been wearing a blue round neck jumper, dark joggers and white trainers.
