Oval park in Peacehaven
A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in a park in Peacehaven at the weekend.
The incident is reported to have happened in Oval Park between 10.30pm and midnight on Saturday.
The man was also detained on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.
He has been bailed while enquiries continue.
The victim and suspect are believed to have known each other.
Police are appealing for witnesses and said the woman is receiving support from specially trained officers.
