POLICE and Coastguard teams are searching for a missing man.
Shoreham Coastguard crews are at Widewater Lagoon in Lancing to assist Sussex Police in the search for Thomas Pullen from Upper Beeding, Steyning, who went missing overnight.
Sussex Police said there are serious concerns for the 23-year-old's welfare.
A spokesman said: "It is is believed Thomas may have walked down the River Adur towards Lancing and it's possible that he may have headed towards Brighton and Hove after reaching the coast.
"He is white, 5' 11", of a slim build, with short brown hair with a blond patch on the back of his head and is probably wearing jeans.
"Please call 999 if you do see him quoting 185 of 27/04."
A spokeswoman for HM Coastguard said two RNLI lifeboats from Shoreham and coastguard rescue teams from Shoreham and Littlehampton are currently in attendance at Widewater Lagoon.
Update at 4.20pm: Police said Thomas Pullen had been found safe and well at Small Dole this afternoon.
