A woman had to be cut from her car after it flipped upside down into a ditch.
She had been driving along the A284 between Whiteways and Arundel when she lost control of the vehicle at around 8pm tonight. (Sunday, November 18) It came to rest on its roof in the ditch, trapping the woman.
Firefighters called to the scene used hydraulic cutting equipment to release her and she was taken by ambulance to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.
Sussex Police said no other vehicles were involved in the accident and no one else was hurt.
A stretch of the A284 was closed for two hours while emergency services worked to help her.
