PUBLICANS will raise a glass on Friday to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Led by patron Dame Joan Collins, the Nation’s Toast will take place at 3pm to pay tribute to the heroes of the Second World War.
John Osborne, landlord of the Queensbury Arms pub in Queensbury Mews, Brighton, said: “We should never forget the sacrifices of all those who helped safeguard our freedom.
“While I will not be able to share the moment in person with my friends, regulars and customers, I will raise a glass to make sure we mark this important anniversary.”
