DANGEROUS asbestos was among rubbish dumped by flytippers at a rural site, police say.
Inspector Darren Taylor said waste was left at Turners Hill near Crawley Down and at Balcombe over the weekend.
It comes as councils have reported a rise in incidents of flytipping.
Insp Taylor said: “We had two reports over the weekend. The first at Turners Hill. Not only that but the idiots dumped asbestos which meant the emergency services had to attend. The second was at Balcombe.”
Flytipping is a criminal offence, and can be reported to councils online.
