I read with great interest the letters regarding cyclists defying the "No cycling" signs along Brighton seafront.

Why are these cyclists allowed to get away with what is an obvious offence?

My wife and I frequently walk along this pedestrian walkway on most Sunday mornings and are amazed how often we see cyclists flouting the obvious signage stating that there is "No cycling".

They should face an on the spot fine and have their bicycles confiscated immediately.
