A HOUSEBUILDER is set to begin reopening some of its construction sites.
Barratt Homes will initially reopen three building sites on Monday – Warren Grove in Storrington, Saxon Mills in Hassocks and Chalkers Rise in Peacehaven – with work being prioritised on plots that are already sold and at advanced stages of construction.
The company has developed a new set of rules so staff can operate safely, with a nominated social distancing marshal present on all sites.
Managing director Julian Hodder said: “Our first priority is the health and safety of our employees, sub-contractors and customers.
“We have created a detailed set of working practices for employees and sub-contractors to ensure we can reopen our sites safely, in a phased and measured way, which minimises risk.”
