FIRE crews battled a blaze as it raged in a digger.
A team from Billingshurst Fire Station were called to the scene in a field near Pulborough yesterday evening.
The large truck was completely destroyed on the inferno.
A spokesman said: “We were alerted just after 6pm to a large vehicle fire off Black Gate Lane.
“Using an open water supply, we used our light, portable pump to supply water for our breathing apparatus team. Thanks to Storrington Fire and Rescue service who also attended. Crews left the scene at 8pm.”
